Instead of asking families to buy a full set of American Football pads and helmets for contact football, or the various costs associated with the flag game and running our club, the Phoenix is financed by a monthly subscription to try and ensure that all children can play and the financial burden is minimised. Your registration and membership includes insurance cover, all competition entry fees, the issue of a club t-shirt, the loan of club equipment (including pads and helmets for kitted teams) and playing kit for all squads.
Before you start a monthly subscription, we offer all players at all ages a free trial. The first three training sessions are free of any costs while the children and young people try the game. We hope that in those three weeks the children get a chance to decide whether they enjoy the game and, if so, we will then ask you to sign-up with your registration fee and monthly subscription.
There is a one-off £10.00 payment per player for suitable insurance cover for players playing Flag Football. This fee is payable alongside first month’s subscription. It is not applicable for kitted football because those players’ BAFA registration provides their insurance.

All player subscriptions are calculated on an annual basis. Costs are then split equally across the year, resulting in 12 monthly payments to be made, in advance, by Direct Debit. All new players are also required to pay a ‘one time’ £10 insurance payment. A one time mandate is required for this payment.
For families with more than one child who wants to play, subscription fees reduce in a sliding scale. Details below.

Costs and direct debit-mandates for playing families of four or more children have not yet been set-up, but if/when the need arises, we will be happy to liaise with the famiy concerned and follow the same costings and principles of discount as above.
Kent Phoenix always strive to provide opportunities for all children and young people regardless of financial circumstances.
